LIMITED, CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT
When our nation was created, the founders were intentional and specific in how our government should be structured. The federal government today has powers well beyond what it was ever intended to have. It is our job to reign in their overreach. On a state level, our government should create as little burden as possible to its citizens.

PRESERVATION OF CULTURE
In God's word, James Chapter 2 shares that faith without works is dead. Much in the same way as our country, a republic without a strong underlying culture will not succeed. The church, family, and community should drive this cause and the state should ensure its legislation complements these efforts.
CITIZENS FIRST
"America First" is a phrase that will have its place in the history books, but what does it look like in practice? Our government should put the interest of everyday citizens, especially the taxpayers, ahead of any other entity, special interest group, or business. These other entities hold great importance but must be secondary to the people.

LEADERSHIP THROUGH SERVICE
Anyone unwilling to serve others is unfit to lead. Clay Counts is committed to continuing efforts to improve our community both through legislation and by helping those around us in need.
