ABOUT CLAY
Clay is a lifelong resident of Pickens County and currently lives in Pickens with his wife Krista. A 2011 graduate of Liberty High School, he went on to obtain a degree in accounting from Clemson University. Clay is employed by Sealevel Systems in Liberty as a sales manager. His passion for our community is proven by his service in a wide range of areas. At Liberty High School, Clay started a local news website with a few friends called “Liberty Speaks." The goal of this website was to improve visibility on local issues. Clay has previously served as treasurer of the Liberty Area Chamber and was an original member of the revived Pickens County Recreation board. Clay has also served on the US Selective Service System apeals board. He recently retired as a member of the Pickens County Planning Commission and serves as the current president of the Liberty Lions Club. Clay remains actively involved at his church Pickens First Baptist helping as an Awana teacher. In his free time, Clay enjoys fishing, hunting, and farming.
SERVICE
Those unwilling to serve are unfit for service. Clay has a long track record of volunteer efforts dating back to church mission trips in high school. Whether it be helping a neighbor with a construction project or supporting organizations like Lions Club International, Clay has a deep care and affection for those around him.

CONSERVATION
Clay is an avid hunter and fisher. He loves the natural beauty and rich resources this area is blessed with. It's imperative we preserve this land for future generations to enjoy.
AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM
America is the greatest nation to ever have existed. We unfortunately have not been living up to our potential. We have the power to change this.
FAMILY
Clay's family means everything to him. He is blessed with a wonderful wife Krista, who he has been married to since 2019. Strong families built this nation. Our legislation must protect and promote the nuclear family. The best laws won't succeed if the structure below isn't strong.

2ND AMENDMENT
The 2nd amendment is the right upon which all others hang. While hunting and self defense are important, the true purpose of the 2nd amendment is serving as a safeguard against a tyrannical government. No law passed by a state, federal, or local government that violates this right should be recognized.
FOR THE PEOPLE
Governments are supposed to reflect the will of the people they serve. It seems for some time now everyday citizens haven't had the voice they should. Clay will always put the people first, especially the taxpayer.
